How to: Sexy beachy waves

Hey beauties!
If you're anything like me you're always looking for the perfect sexy-beachy-bed head/Victoria's secret waves! So, here are some tips and tricks that I've found, that let you achieve and help you preserve your sexy bed-head look!

What you'll need:
-Moisturizing shampoo and conditioner
-wide tooth comb
-salt spray ( mix salt and water in a spray bottle or buy some from your favourite hair care line)
-volumizing hair mousse or gel
-large paddle brush
-heat protecting spray
-blow dryer
-1/2 inch - 1 1/2 inch curling iron
-volumizing hairspray

Step 1:
Shampoo and condition your hair with a moisturizing system so the heat and salt wont damage your hair!

Step 2:
Run through your damp hair with a wide tooth comb. Dispense your volumizing styling product into your hand and work it through your hair ,starting at the back ( Since the majority of your hair and length is in the back, this will prevent product built up) and then bringing through to the front and down the length of your hair.  Now, spray your hair throughout with your store bought or homemade salt spray. Comb through your hair from root to tip for even product distribution.

Step 3:
Spray your hair with your heat protecting spray of choice and flip your head upside-down.  Set your hair dryer to the cold setting ( to prevent heat damage) and concentrate the air at the roots. ( Don't have a cold setting? set it to the lowest setting and lowest speed ). Work the air down to the ends of your hair with your paddle brush until your hair it 90% dry ( over drying will cause heat damage ).

Step 4:
Spray your hair once again with your heat protecting spray, and start wrapping 1-inch sections of hair around your curling iron (Don't use the clamp if you want to avoid ringlet curls).  If you need to, you can purchase a heat safe glove, especially used with hot hair tools at any beauty supply store, if you are scared of burning your hand.  Continue until you have finished your entire head of hair.

Step 5:
Flip hair upside-down and spray 8-inches away with your volumizing hairspray. Now, flip your hair back over and spray the top layer. If you want a little extra volume, lift hair at the roots at spray from 6-8 inches away, to create that extra lift.
